In the entire movie, Ajay Devgan's performance was at the highest level as a heroic Maratha warrior. He powers through with subtlety and restraint while keeping the patriotic passion high at all times. This film is his carrier’s best film which shows his acting skills. Kajol who played as a strong and supportive wife of Tanhaji delivers her best performance in her small yet impactful role. Saif as Udaybhan understands the depth of his character very well and brings the same cruelty and brutality which the story needed. This was saif’s one of the outstanding performances till now. Sharad Kelkar as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has put his strong supporting element in this movie very well.
Directors Om Raut in his debut Hindi movie proved himself as a successful director, as he maintains the firm grip on the film and balances the emotions and drama with tact.
